A process engineered to leave no trace. Except the one you design
The femtosecond laser process operates at a nanoscale depth (40–450 nm), delivering energy in ultrashort pulses. The stone’s structure, optical properties, weight, clarity, and brilliance remain exactly as they were. Over a decade of refining our proprietary technology has made the process predictable and safe for the stone, as confirmed by independent HRD Antwerp certification (Certificate No. 260000210177).
Whatever you place on the diamond’s surface: a mark, text, or visual motif becomes an integral part of the stone. The diamond gains
a permanent signature unique to your collection.

From your brief to the finished stone
Co-creation isn’t a word we use lightly. It’s a process where you are the co-author: the creative direction and the collection concept, all of it comes from you.
Optical mapping
Each design is adapted to the exact geometry and faceting of the specific stone. You approve the final design before production begins.
Femtosecond inscription
We inscribe the mark in our laboratory, using a femtosecond laser. The inscription is permanent. It cannot be removed without destroying the stone. Certified parameters remain unchanged.
Insured delivery
The finished stone is returned by insured courier within the agreed timeline. Back in your hands, ready to set and complete the piece.

Technology developed specifically for diamonds
The structurization process was developed over ten years of working directly on diamonds. It is built around the stone’s natural structure. Depth, intensity, and position of the inscription are precisely calibrated for each individual diamond. The resulting mark is permanent and indestructible under conditions of daily wear.

Does the inscription affect the stone’s gemological parameters: weight, clarity, or colour grade?
No. The femtosecond laser process operates at a depth that leaves all gemological parameters unchanged. Weight, clarity, and colour grade remain exactly as certified. This has been independently confirmed by HRD Antwerp (Certificate No. 260000210177). The inscription adds to what the stone carries. It doesn’t change what it is.
Is our design exclusive? Can Arteida use it for another brand?
Yes, Arteida cannot use your design for another brand. Every mark produced in co-creation is exclusive to the partner brand. We don’t replicate co-created designs for any other client, maintain shared libraries, or use your work without explicit agreement. What you co-create with us belongs to your collection.
Can we submit our own diamonds, or do you source them?
Both. You can submit your own stones, or Arteida can assist with sourcing as part of the project. This is agreed per collaboration. There is no fixed requirement on origin.
How much involvement does the co-creation process require from our side?
The main points of involvement are the initial brief and design approval, typically one or two rounds of review before production begins. We handle all technical execution. You don’t need to change your production workflow. Stones are returned ready to set, with lead times agreed per project.
What is the minimum scale for a first collaboration?
There is no minimum order quantity for a first collaboration. You can begin with a single stone, a pilot project is a standard starting point. The minimum compatible stone size is 0.15 ct. Specific parameters, including compatible cuts and clarity requirements, are confirmed during the brief stage.
Is the mark visible without specialist equipment?
The inscription is designed to be visible to the unaided eye. This is one of the defining characteristics of Arteida’s process, and a key difference from standard girdle inscription applied by certification labs, which requires magnification.
Can the inscription be applied to any diamond, regardless of cut or carat size?
The process works across a range of cuts and sizes. Specific parameters, including minimum carat weight and compatible cuts, are confirmed during the brief stage, based on the individual stone.
