We engineered a method
of diamond personalization
that no one thought possible.

The technology behind
a nanometre-precise mark

Our inspiration was the Morpho peleides butterfly. The intense blue of its wings does not come from pigment, but from a nanoscale surface structure. We brought the same principle to diamond.

A femtosecond laser restructures the surface of the diamond at the nanometre scale, without altering any certified parameter.

High-fidelity
microscopic precision

Operating at a depth of 40–450 nm, the laser captures the finest details, even the irregular lines of personal handwriting. Every mark is designed for aesthetic integration with the stone.

Clearest mark on Earth

Traditional inscription graphitizes the diamond, leaving a dark trace. The femtosecond laser operates via ultra-short pulses, ensuring a precise, clean structurization free from blackening.

Structured for beautiful visual effect

By restructuring the diamond’s surface, the mark reflects and refracts light, creating vivid color effects unmatched by any other method. Every stone responds to light in its own unique way.

A mark as permanent as the diamond

The mark exists as long as the diamond itself. The inscription becomes an integral part of the stone. Everyday wear, cleaning, and the passage of time leave it entirely unchanged.

Whatever you envision,
our technology can place it

Combining nanoscale precision with advanced structurization technology, we inscribe signatures, symbols, dates, patterns, and other bespoke details onto selected areas of the stone.

From a simple symbol to a handwritten signature, a custom pattern, or a bespoke graphic, we transfer every design directly onto the stone.

Not an addition to the stone.
A part of it.

Arteida is built on over a decade of experience in diamond identification and research into diamond structuring. A technology created for the diamond industry by those who truly understand it.

How your concept becomes permanent

The process is simple. You define the concept, we handle the execution. Provide your own stone, or let us source one for you. Once the diamond arrives at our laboratory, the entire turnaround is approximately two weeks.

  1. Open sketchbook with pencil jewelry design sketches on a wooden table, showing necklace and pendant concepts with handwritten notes

    Share your concept

Outline your vision: a jewelry design, collection theme, or brand signature.
We will reach out to discuss the technical and aesthetic possibilities.

  2. Designer mood board with a round brilliant diamond, botanical fern, fabric and metal swatches, color card and jewelry sketch on a wooden surface

    Send us your design

Present your inspiration or creative direction. Together, we refine the concept and give it its final form, ensuring it precisely reflects your vision.

  3. Technical drawing of a round brilliant diamond top view with precision measurements annotated, magnifying loupe and pencil on a slate background

    Review the visualization

Before the structurization process begins, we submit a visualization for your approval. It allows you to evaluate the placement, proportions, and optical balance of the mark on the stone.

  4. Round brilliant diamond with the name "Emma" personalized on the surface using Arteida femtosecond laser structuring

    Marked, sealed, returned

Upon your approval, we execute the structuring using a femtosecond laser. The stone is securely returned via insured transport within two weeks.

Femtosecond laser vs traditional inscription

Traditional inscription has been the industry standard for decades. The table below illustrates the technical and visual differences between the two methods.

Parameter Traditional inscription Arteida
Laser type Short pulse Ultra short pulse (10⁻¹⁵ s)
Wavelength UV/IR UV/IR
Mechanism Graphitization/Ablation Only safe ablation
Mark depth Deep surface (7-10 um) Shallow surface (0.04-0.45 um)
Appearance Standard monochrome mark Colorful optical effect
Placement On the girdle only Selected diamond facets
Visibility 10x loupe Naked eye
Removal Specialized diamond polishing Specialized diamond polishing

Tested and confirmed

by HRD Antwerp

The process does not alter the stone’s weight, clarity, colour,
or brilliance. All certification parameters remain unchanged,
as confirmed by the independent assessment of HRD Antwerp (Certificate No. 260000210177), one of the most respected gemological laboratories. For the complete technical assessment, visit our certification page.
